Atlas Moves Watching and Public Energy present
Old Men Dancing

Peterborough's Old Men Dancing was formed in 2002 by a group of men, with an average age of over 50, who share an interest in creating movement-based performance. Recently, these late-blooming dancers have teamed up with the professional dance company Atlas Moves Watching. Under artistic director Bill James they have been commissioning new works from some of Canada’s most renown choreographers; their first program of this work played to sold out houses at the Market Hall in May, 2009. This evening will see premieres of work created by Tedd Robinson and David Earle, two artists who take very different approaches to choreography, but are both rooted in a deep sense of the spiritual purpose of dance. Also on the program will be a remount of Bill James’ Weathering and a reprise of Allen Kaeja’s Unhinged.
