Take your shopping experience to new heights as you browse for consumer goods and good art when Toronto-based Corpus comes to Peterborough’s downtown shopping centre, Peterborough Square. Under artistic director David Danzon, Corpus is known for its precise and surrealist humour that combines movement with theatrical imagery, often performed in unusual locations. Three of Corpus’ most popular works will be performed each day at different locations around the mall:
Le Grand Peep Show
Follow the sounds of carnival music to the Peep Show tent. Closer, closer… dare to take a peek at a unique performance of an unusual courtship ritual, at once comedic and sexy. For the really curious, a private Peep show is available at the back…
A Flock of Flyers
Look up to the sky, is it a …no, there is nothing there, the planes have been grounded due to severe budget cutbacks. Determined to fly at any cost, the 5 flyers of the 217th Canadian Flying Squadron continue their regimented training wherever they can, this week in and around Peterborough Square.
Les moutons
Fancy a little mutton with your Farmer’s Market produce? Come visit the sheep pen and be led like lambs to the courtyard to witness a strange and hilarious universe where sheep behavior is well….strangely familiar.
