NAME THOSE FUNNY LOGOS AND COME UP WITH MORE
WIN A SEASON SUBSCRIPTION
We are often asked what our logo stands for and what it means. It was designed by Jenny Armour in 2009, which is when we changed our name from Peterborough New Dance to Public Energy. As a way toward answering the vexing question of logo meaning we have commissioned artist Esther Vincent to draw ten interpretations of it. They are featured in our 2011-12 season program. But what are they exactly? And how many others might there be?
We are challenging you to take part in the search for PE’s logo identity by doing one or both of:
- Identify what is being represented by each of Esther’s ten logos. For instance, one is simply an E. That’s easy. There are some animals. What are they? etc… Submit your list with a name corresponding to the number of the logo on this page. # 1 is and E, # 2 is___
One winning entry will be picked in a random draw from all the correct submissions. Winner receives a full 2011-12 season subscription.
- Draw your own version that improvises on the basic PE logo. One winning entry will be chosen by PE staff and featured in our 2011 holiday greeting card. Submit as many as you wish, our favorites will be gracing the pages of this website.
To submit: email firstname.lastname@example.org or postal mail PO Box 2319, Peterborough, K9H 7E8 or in person at our offices in the Market Hall, 140 Charlotte Street, Peterborough between noon and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Deadline: Nov. 28, 2011
