With your help we can put ourselves over the top - a great way to begin our 20th anniversary year.
The past year at Public Energy was a great success and hugely rewarding. For that we thank YOU, our adventurous audiences, artists and partners alike. Season highlights from the past year included a record-breaking number of performances at the 20th Emergency Festival; a three-week residency with Maori artist Charles Koroneho (with many thanks to partners O'Kaadenigan Wiingashk and Indigenous Performance Initiatives); and Road Trip, which won a Dora Award for co-creators Susan Burpee and Linnea Swan.
Speaking of the Dora Awards, congratulations to Coleman Lemieux & Co, whose From the House of Mirth took Outstanding Sound Design/Composition for composer Rodney Sharman. Choreographed by James Kudelka, the work was developed through a residency with Public Energy and was first performed in Peterborough in May, 2012.
Public Energy is proud to be only 20% away from our fundraising goal for 2012-13. Your help will play a big role in setting us up for an exciting 20th anniversary season, full of the cutting edge dance, provocative theatre and adventurous performance you've come to expect from Public Energy.
A gift of $50, $100, or $150 would make a huge difference in getting us to our goal. Please support Public Energy today!
